Okay. So my favorite team didn't win the Super Bowl. I'm sad but I'm okay with it. I like the Philadelphia Eagles too so it's all good. My brother, a huge Eagles fan, is very happy and relishing the fact he can be proud of his team while living in what is essentially a Chiefs area (he lives near Kansas City, MO). I am a big enough person to admit that my team did not play as well as they could have and listening to interviews from some of the players, they agree. It's all good though. Fix everything in the off-season and come back better next season.

And for all those Chiefs fans who are despondent over the loss, take a look outside your window. The world keeps turning. The sun and moon will keep rising and setting. The wind will blow, rain or snow will fall, birds will still fly, dogs will still bark. A loss doesn't change much of anything. As long as you wake up, you will continue to breathe, think, talk, and do what you would normally do. It's important to realize that the Super Bowl is a game. It won't decide the fate of the free world. It won't make you rich or famous. Don't let it impact your life to the point of depression.

Yes, there were a lot of celebrities at the game, including Taylor Swift. They get shown on camera. They don't and didn't ask for it (as far as I know). The people managing the cameras do all that filming and they will show anybody and everybody. I don't concern myself with all that. It doesn't have an impact on my life or on the lives of those I know. So why should I make a big deal out of it all?

I am an armchair quarterback. I'm on the other side so I see what's happening on the field. I can see players the quarterback, regardless of the team, could throw the ball too. I can say the players on the field should run this way or that to get the touchdown, first down, yardage, etc. However, it is important to note that the view from the stands or from the other side of the TV screen is not the same as any of the players, quarterback included, on the field. It amazes me how the announcers themselves don't always realize that! Players on the field have to make split-second decisions and they don't have time to analyze. It's a simple fact. Blaming one player for a loss is silly. It's easy to criticize when you aren't personally involved. The entire game is basically a fly by the seat of your pants occasion!

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. :) Have a wonderful day!
